Mamallena Beachside Rincon del Mar

Super chilled beach side rooms, nothing more nothing less - was great

Pros: Location is excellent, and Erick was very helpful with all our needs. It’s a relaxed vibe which suited us well. We had the top floor room facing the sea which was fab to have a balcony facing the sunset - a great people watching spot too!

Pros: Great location right on the beach, with great restaurant options on either side and in the rest of town. Erick is very helpful with tours and any other questions. We booked a room without seaview because that was the only one available for 4 nights, and when a room with seaview became available after two nights we could swap rooms without a problem. Definitely recommend room with seaview as the view is stunning and less noise from the street.

Comfortable room in Rincón del Mar

Pros: Rincón del Mar is still an undiscovered spot for tourists outside of Colombia, so there aren’t many accommodations yet. This hotel had just what we needed: a comfortable bed and well-functioning air conditioning. It’s located right on the beach, with several options for food and drinks on both sides. No major luxury, but everything here is local and authentic — and we absolutely loved that!

Cons: One of the more expensive spots of our trip for a standard room, and breakfast wasn’t included either. But maybe that’s just the going rate in this region? In any case, we slept well and after two days, we headed off to Tintipán.

Great location - could be cleaner

Pros: Nice enough accommodation on the beach at Rincon. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with air con.

Cons: Not the cleanest - previous guest’s hair left on the shower wall. If they insist on you not flushing toilet paper they need to empty the bin daily.

A comfortable and relaxing stay

Pros: Rincon del Mar is a beautiful location, perfect for sleepy days by the beach and delicious local cuisine. Mamallena was really comfortable and the staff were friendly. The rooms were comfortable, it had direct access to the beach, and it was surrounded by nice simple restaurants. I was working throughout my stay and the wifi was strong enough. It was a lovely relaxed stay in a dreamy setting.

Pros: Lovely location. Lots of places to eat nearby. Comfortable beds. The host was very nice and helpful.

Cons: The family room is specious but gets very hot (No A/C). Sun beds were broken.

Pros: The location is very good, not in the busy area but not isolated either. The staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are big, it’s pleasant ! And the food is good!!
