Hotel Las Islas

Pros: The place is amazing, the facilities are great, and the food is excellent. It was a very good overall experience. The room, the details, the gym, etc. Would go back for sure.

Cons: The breakfast at the Island was not as advertised. We got there and no one was there. There were a couple of employees that seemed almost upset that we were going to have breakfast there. The bar in the main restaurant (terrace) didn't have the wines that we wanted to order, and the bikes for transportation inside the hotel were old and very rusty, almost unusable.

Pros: Overall it's a world class hotel. Staff was incredibly helpful and keen to help. Facilities were top notch (room, access roads, restaurants, SPA, etc) and the food was really great (quality ingredients all around). Definitely a place to recommend.

Cons: One of the revolting doors in the room couldn't be opened

Very nice hotel but value for price is not very good. Service needs to be improved to match the price.

Pros: Nicely situated in the Park, bikes for use on the compound. Very nice bungalows with pool.

Cons: Some staff are not enough trained in high quality service Breakfast service needs to be improved - missing plates, glasses. Service slow and some staff were unfriendly. Orientation on the compound is quite difficult due to missing or wrong indicators We had to ask every day for water/ coffee refill in the room

Pros: The rooms in the tree tops are beautiful. The beach. The provided bikes to get around. Food was nice. Staff at the restaurants were very attentive.

Cons: Very cold welcome upon arrival. Girl at the reception actually sighed when we walked up to the counter. No drinks or anything other refreshments offered. Same with man carrying down our luggage upon departure, sighed. Large area.: Too dark in the evening. Insufficient signs to find dining rooms etc. Wandering around and getting lost is very stressful. We repeatedly requested separate twin beds before arrival. Was not done when we got there, had to wait for staff to come do this. Rooms were too dark at night, could use more lights.

Fun experience

Pros: A very cool experience, staying at the top of the canopy! Lovely to look out and see iguanas and many various birds. Lovely rooms, bathrooms and jacuzzi. Nice staff and food options. Good buffet breakfast included too and we enjoyed the included island access :)

Cons: Expensive overall - food and activities were on the pricier side. Bring insect repellent!! Walking and biking through the area, we were eaten alive (no fault of the hotel, but just an uncomfortable part of the stay)

Great Stay. 10/10 recommend.

Pros: Everything. Location, attention to detail, service, amenities.

Cons: We only had a little issue with the check in/baggage handling, but they allowed a late checkout, so everything worked just fine in the end.

Stunning remote hotel. Great to fully disconnect and immerse yourself in nature!

Pros: Amazing place! Loved every part of it. The beds are super comfortable, staff is amazing and the facilities are stunning.

Cons: Food options could be improved (quite limited and the quality was not great). Nothing nearby - ie no supermarket or shop to even buy water.

Pros: The location and activities were exceptional. The personal was super friendly and helpful.

Cons: After making the reservation we learned that the transport from Cartagena to the hotel was a service with an extra charge, which isn’t the case for other hotels in the area and the prices were quite expensive.
