Eco Hotel Bosque Encantado

Friendly, great value, excellent food

Pros: Super friendly staff running the hostel, felt very comfortable. It’s super clean and the food is delicious. We stayed at 2 eco hostels on the island and the accommodation is pretty much the same at both (rustic), but the service here was much better, it had free substantial breakfast, and was cheaper.

Cons: All good

Pros: Great location, 3 min walk to a very quiet yet beautiful beach. Kind and helpful staff. Edgar and his family were really nice giving all the useful information and made us feel at easy. Highly recommended

Cons: The shower was not always working, which was not a problem as they provided big tanks with water, when needed. After all, it's an island with water shortage problem (bare that in mind when you go!)

Pros: It was a nice quiet place as a start for activities on the island. We loved the snorkeling, visit of the laguna and the plankton at night

Good value for the money, great food and location

Pros: We spent one night in a tent. The tent was fully functional, clean and the mattress was comfortable. We did not have any insects or ants inside. Just be prepared for a really hot night. The food excellent and people were very nice, especially Edgar who attended us very professionally. The location was optimal and you can also rent a kayak and order tours.

Cons: There was no funcional flashing and shower at the toilet. You need to do it with a bucket. Not bad, just to notice.

Encantados con Bosque Encantado

Pros: El ambiente relajado y retirado del lugar, las hamacas para relajarse y la amabilidad de todo el personal hicieron de nuestra estadía un tiempo maravilloso! Tanto Edgar de recepción, que nos recibió con calidez y pura buena onda, nos guió para rentar bicicletas y poder recorrer la isla, hasta Jessica de cocina, que prepara los MEJORES PATACONES que probamos en todo el viaje por la zona. Se puede comer muy bien a precio económico, la fruta está fresca y el desayuno de la mañana es espectacular!! Las habitaciones son espaciosas y limpias, el mosquitero estaba en excelente estado, no tuvimos problemas de mosquitos. Cada habitación cuenta con un ventilador y una hamaca para tenderse y disfrutar del ritmo calmado de la isla. Como bien dice el nombre, Bosque Encantado nos encantó!! Lo recomendaríamos mil veces y seguro que regresamos, gracias!!

Pros: Excellent breakfasts! Location was great. Staff was very friendly. Hotel restaurant had reasonable prices. Bed was comfy, mosquito net was perfect and with the fan at night we stayed very comfortable.

Cons: Just be aware this is an eco hotel. They turn the electricity off in the day, the toilets are bucket flushes. The WiFi was not good but wifi all over the island isn’t very good.

Anfitriones amables y limpieza de instalaciones

Pros: El alojamiento estaba muy limpio pese a las condiciones del servicio de agua propios de una isla. La amabilidad de los anfitriones también se destaca, todos dispuestos a responder dudas y entregar la mejor atención.

Cons: Nos dieron un horario de WiFi pero la conexión era inexistente. Si vas a desconectarte de todo está bien, pero si necesitas mantener contacto con alguien te aconsejo pagues roaming.
