Pros: Location 10/10 very good spot to lodge if you want to enjoy the nightlife of Getsemini, everything is on your door step.

Great place in a better location!

Pros: Thanks to Casa San Juan, it met our expectations and more. We chose mainly becase the location and its reviews. Its perfect for looking for street entertainment, foods, drinks while you enjoy the vibrant Getsemani neighboorhood. We like pretty much our room, and used the kitchen, perfect to prepare something. Its a quiet street and we did no hear any noise from the tourist street and park.

Cons: The room has very good details in furniture decoration and lamps. But the mattress and pillows are not quite confortable, need renovation.

Pros: Fantastic location, one of my favourite streets in the whole old town.

Good value for money

Pros: Located very central and good value for money. Simple rooms but comfortable and clean. Very happy with the airconditioning, which is a must in hot Cartagena. We arrived early and were able to leave our stuff until it was time to check in.

Cons: We woke up one morning without any power hence no airconditioning. Very hot and uncomfortable. We texted the owner and he said he would look into it. We then heard from the cleaning lady that once every month, the power in all of Getsemani is off due to reparations of the electric network. We were there on March 3rd. She said it would last until 5pm. We spent the day someplace else and got back at 6pm, still no power. Texted the owner and he said that we couldn’t do anything but wait for the power to come back on. It finally came back on at 11pm. By no means the fault of the owner, however he could have been more communicative about it and send us a warning beforehand so we at least had the option to stay elsewhere. Or at least give us updates throughout the day, now we constantly had to ask ourselves.

Loved it!

Pros: Really great location, the room was clean and tidy. The aircon and private bathrooms were nice. The kitchen hen was always clean and well stocked. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: We had the room right in the road and it was a little busy during the day with people walking by. All the noise shut off by 10pm so it didn’t bother us.

Pros: I liked the apartment. good size for me alone. a little kitchen to cook if you like. the apartment was clean. the bed could need a new mattress, like other guests have said. the aircon was very noisy or the aircon from the neighbors. the street was quiet for Cartagena. close to the action and I felt aafe walking around by myself after sunset.

Pros: Amazing location. Great AC and cosy little room. Despite what many of the reviews say, it is really easy to access the property and it feels really safe at all times. The owner was really responsive on Booking.com and let us drop our backs off early. We paid on arrival in cash to the cleaner (I confirmed this beforehand on messages with the owner).

Our favourite

Pros: We've stayed in Casa San Juan 3 times. All times we stayed in the bigger room with the private kitchen at the back. Its the most comfortable place we stayed in Getsamani and we love it. Its always clean, it's in a great location, we were able to cook, and there's the private bathroom. Staff are always helpful and friendly.

Cons: Sometimes, in the bigger room at the back there is a very loud rumbling noise/buzzing sound. It never kept us awake but it can be a bit annoying. Still, I'd go back to Casa San Juan every time.

Tranquil location but very close to the center. Affordable !

Pros: Location was amazing. Right by the center. Easy check in. Tranquil property. Not many rooms, so there is a shared kitchen that not too many people use. The room we stayed in had a perfect little kitchenette.

Cons: No tv. The wifi was okay. A bit laggy for working. Loud construction in the morning.

Favourite place in Getsamani

Pros: Love Casa San Juan, especially the bigger room up the stairs at the back. It's my favourite place to stay in Getsamani because it's comfortable and quiet, always clean and in a fantastic location. In the bigger room you have a bathroom and kitchen which is so nice. Big love to casa san Juan ❤ going back there soon!
