Pros: he standout positives here are the unbeatable location—you can walk to all the main sights in Cartagena—and the super kind host. They were incredibly accommodating and allowed me an early check-in, which was a huge help after my flight. Overall, it's a budget-friendly option with a fantastic host in the perfect spot, but be prepared for some compromises on room comfort and connectivity.

Cons: However, the room itself had a couple of significant drawbacks for me. The main issue was that it felt quite dark and stuffy. The window couldn't be opened while the AC was running, so I had to choose between fresh air or cooling. Additionally, the Wi-Fi signal did not reach inside the room; I had to go to the common area to get a connection, which was inconvenient.

Pros: Beautiful place, super friendly and helpful staff, perfect location in a quiet area of Getsemani, yet in short walking distance to all major touristy locations (walled city, Plaza Trinidad, Castillo San Felipe).

Pros: Cozy house in the middle of Getsemani district run by a friendly couple. Close to everything in the old town.

Pros: The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The location was perfect and the ambiance was very good. Although we didn't use it much I liked that there was a kitchen available. I also loved the rooftop terrace.

Pros: Cartagena is red hot this time year so it was good to come home to a good aircon. Staff were super friendly and helpful and we had some fun trying to communicate. Location was excellent -close enough to Plaza de Trinidad but far enough away to be quiet.

Cons: A bit pricey for Columbia but cheap for Cartagena.

Pros: Perfect location, nice and quiet, but still close enough to walk to the busy area and tourist attractions. Lovely restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Felt very safe walking around that area during the day and at night. Host's are very engaging and happy to help with anything you need. Bed was good, room was big enough, shower was good. Would definitely stay there again. Laundry service was very good, washed and ironed for the next day. The lady waited outside with me, to make sure my taxi turned up on time to leave for the airport, which was lovely.

Cons: No negatives I can think of.

Getsemani Gold

Pros: This place is in the perfect location for Getsemani. It is such a short walk to all of the fun and so quiet when you want to return and get a good night sleep. It’s extremely comfortable and really beautiful in its colonial design. Lovely hosts and although we didn’t speak the same language, we got by easily. We also appreciated the opportunity to get some washing done. Would come back here in a heartbeat.

Cons: We stayed 4 nights and it would have been nice to have had the bath mat changed (grubby with all the street walking) and the toilet tissues (not allowed to flush these in Colombia) emptied out of the rubbish bin. Minor things in comparison to all the plusses though.

Pros: The host, the balcony, and the location. While the property is extremely expensive, this is pretty much in line with Cartagena’s bloated prices. The property is a fine place.
