Great stay!

Pros: Great location, quiet island, beautiful sea, responsive by WhatsApp, big room, nice outside shower, good food.

Cons: Nothing, all was good!

Beautiful island getaway

Pros: Gorgeous resort with own beach and jetty. Lovely air conditioned room that comfortably fitted our family of four. Very friendly and helpful staff despite our very limited Spanish. Great value for money.

Pros: Staff were very friendly and lots of activities organised by the hotel including Snorkelling, and glowing plankton. The location was excellent and our room literally on the beach with air con was incredible.

Cons: The food is ridiculously expensive and quite bland and they don’t let you bring in other food or drinks from shops in the town. Also the fact you can’t go out to other spots on the island in the evening (they lock the gates at 6pm) meant we were literally trapped there in the evening with nothing to do except sit in the overpriced bar.

Relaxing but so much to do in idylic location.

Pros: Lovely lovely staff in reception, chambermaids, restaurant and in particular Deneilson and his team who do all the tours eg. Snorkelling, mangroves, laguna luminosa etc. Food in restaurant delicious, local, good value.

Cons: Rough sea in afternoon - but is possible to take boat or walk to other side of island.

Comfortable place with an amazing view

Pros: Very good food and drinks and attentive staff. Some of the lights in our room (2) were not working, but it did not significantly impact our stay.

A lovely comfortable stay beside gorgeous turquoise Caribbean waters…..

Pros: We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Rosario Eco Hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly - we did need to practice our Spanish with some… but they were all lovely. It’s a small hotel and the lovely deck area does get filled up quite quickly but there are other loungers on the shoreline. The restaurant served good food in a garden area inside the grounds. Room wise we did originally book a room with a sea view that did not have air conditioning - I think with the way the room details are listed it is quite easy to make this mistake. We had tried to change this when we could see that the other sea view, air conditioned rooms were still available but this had not been changed when we got to the resort. We were offered, when we asked about it on our arrival, an alternative garden room (14) which didn’t have a sea view and wasn’t as pretty, but did have air conditioning. We found the room very clean and comfortable even tho not quite what we’d hoped for.

Cons: We booked our return boat journey to Cartagena with the hotel. Both journeys were quite uncomfortable - over an hour in a crowded boat in windy, choppy conditions. On our return journey the boat took a different route though a narrow channel back to Cartagena - it actually became stuck/ran aground in a patch of shallow water at one stage! Thankfully it got back on its way after some tense minutes!! There are lots of companies at the dock in Cartagena who offer the boat transfers. Although quite a bit more expensive I would say the private transfer could be worth considering, especially during windy weather.(smaller boats for a smaller number of people)

Beautiful stay

Pros: Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, great food and fantastic jetty for sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Felt like a luxury getaway and tours around the islands available.

Pros: The beach was very nice and we liked that unlike some other places it was not that crowded. Staff was very nice, kind and helpful. We also booked a snorkeling trip and the trip and our guide Victor were excellent! Would recommend it anytime!

Cons: The place could be better maintened by the owners. It is an Eco lodge but some infrastructure seems in bas condition due to negliance rather than simplicity.

Our best four days in Colombia, we were there for a month.

Pros: Amazing facilities, and the staff were lovely! The room was very comfortable & the food was amazing.

Cons: Nothing not to like :)

A wonderful stay with a stunning view

Pros: Beautiful stay in a lovely eco hotel by the sea. A dream! Lovely staff, delicious food, beautiful view, great activities.

Cons: Could take a break from the music to read and relax :)
