GHL Relax Hotel Costa Azul

Relaxed atmosphere, beautiful place, good food, lovely staff

Pros: Great family friendly hotel, with a huge pool área and directions access to the beach. The restaurant has a great menu with loads of different options. All staff was very kind and helpful at all times

Pros: Very nice hotel The staff were friendly and very helpful with us not speaking Spanish 😀

Cons: Limited choice at breakfast for an English guest, but we always found something to have, Blueberries 🫐 and crossiant would have been nice

A wonderful relaxed stay in Santa Marta

Pros: The hotel is perfect for kids, we went with our 14 month old daughter who loved splashing in the pool and playing on the beach. We had one of the bigger rooms which had 2 bathrooms and a little basic kitchen area with a large fridge and sink. The breakfast was a good buffet with plenty of choices and the food in the restaurant was good too.

Cons: As we mentioned to the reception, it would have been great to have a place to refill water bottles. The on site shop sells big bottles of water for a very reasonable price, but to reduce plastic, we would have preferred to have a water refill station. Especially as the water is not drinkable from the tap.

Pros: The stuff were really nice and helpful. Vanessa at reception was very helpful and Luis who helped us with our stuff to the room explain everything that we needed and more

Cons: Breakfast was ok, I was expecting more

Best hotel in Santa Marta

Pros: People were extremely kind and sweet! Marisol at the front desk was so helpful to us during our 5 nights, suggesting things to do, when my little one was sick and with an issue I had with Rappi! She was sooo helpful and supportive! Gloria and Manuel in the restaurant also amazing people! The place is always clean and people try to go out of their way to make you feel happy and welcome!

Cons: Maybe the prices of the mini mart, a bit high!

Pros: Great breakfast, fantastic swimming pool, corteousstaff for most part. Our room was huge, and there were 2 bathrooms, great for a family trip! Accomodations are simple and in need of a overhaul, but everything works.

Cons: The restaurant is overpriced and the beach in front of the hotel is OK, but don't expect a Caribbean experience. The resort is close to the airport but far from Santa Marta. Apart from the swimming pool, there is not much else going on in terms of activities.

Great place for families

Pros: The hotel was right on the beach with easy access. The pool and restaurant facilities were fantastic. The food was great and available whenever you fancied a meal. The rooms were large - this would be a great place for a family. I was a single traveler, so the studio was way more than I needed. I had one bedroom with two double beds, plus a large living room with a refrigerator and sofa that could have been used as a single bed (it was large). The patio overlooked the pool and beach, and was the perfect place to watch the sunset!

Cons: The rooms were a little tired, but very clean. The staff could have been a bit more attentive, but when I finally got their attention, they were nice and helpful enough.

Great family time - relaxing and comfortable

Pros: The staff without a doubt makes this hotel stand out. The team at the Restaurant made our stay much more enjoyable.

Cons: We had issues with the wi-fi in the room which were not fixed and there was not proper follow-up or intention to resolve it. They missed the opportunity to make our stay perfect but we were happy overall.

Great birthday weekend get away for my wife

Pros: My wife and I staid here for her birthday. The property was very clean and the amenities were great. The staff provided us with contacts for transportation into Santa Marta and Rodadero. We never mentioned it was my wife's birthday to the staff, but on the morning of her birthday they came out with a cake and sang happy birthday to her. Can't recommend the hotel enough if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to get away too for a vacation.

Cons: The distance from Rodadero and Santa Marta can be problematic if you want to go back and forth to those places. The hotel is quite far away from both.
