Simply stunning and worth twice the price.

Pros: The best beach club I’ve ever visited / stayed at. Absolutely stunning. Unusually well designed pool & deck area. Also excellent value - we got a 2 bedroom villa for roughly the same price as standard rooms at our very average Santa Marta hotel.

Cons: Logistics to get there (from beach near hospital) turned out straightforward but initially tricky as hotel didn’t respond to emails. Once we made phone contact all fell into place. Also worth noting there isn’t actually much of a beach - the activity is at the pool. Made no difference to us but some other guests seemed disappointed.

Beautiful resort and staff

Pros: The property is stunning. Incredible design in the main areas and rooms. Whoever the architect was has done an amazing job. *The staff don’t speak much English so please bring a translation app.

Cons: Well the beach isn’t right in front of the property and could be cleaned more. The restaurant service from the kitchen was slow but you get used to it by ordering in advance.

Pros: It was a really relaxing hotel with a real nice and friendly vibe. Chef was exceptional and surprised us.

Cons: There is no gym and running outside of the hotel is a bit complicated...

Perfect

Pros: Everything was perfect!!! Excellent service. Excellent restaurant. Excellent facilities. Excellent massage therapist. Would definitely recommend it!

Great hotel for a beach stay!

Pros: - Beautiful design - Great Pool - Amazing breakfast & dinner

Cons: - Getting there was terrible. We waited for 1 hour under the sun on a random beach and had to carry our luggage on the sand to get to the boat. For a “luxury wanderlust” the hotel should invest in a much better arrival experience. - it should be for relaxing, however the beach club is open for lots of people so it ended up being more of a party mood on the pool than a relaxing experience (loud music, drinks etc)

Wonderful place to relax

Pros: We booked the suite with see view which was amazing and the best they have probably. Very much enjoyed lounging in our balcony and enjoying the sunsets from the private pool. Staff were friendly but spoke no English. There were a few very cute and kind stray dogs that stole our hearts and never bothered us. The pool area is very nice too, not too busy when we were there but at night it was very quiet, almost deserted.

Cons: Food was a hit or miss. The day menu has. A lot of options but the evening menu is very limited.

For a few days a great place to relax.

Pros: The hotel premises are very nice and all you would wish for a few relaxing days at the beach. The pool is huge and we stayed hours in it as the water is very warm. If you want it more quite, our room had its own private jacuzzi.

Cons: Due to strong winds we couldn't get to the island on the day originaly planed. But we had to go after an alternative hotel, which belongs to the same group. Here Makani should have been more pro-active. Once on the island, there is only the hotel. There is a small town but it's out of reach. So as I guest you are forced to consume everything at the hotel what can get pricy.

10/10 island escape

Pros: Very nice property ! Beautiful hotel and grounds . A few beach options that are also beautiful and natural Guest service manager Alejandro was amazing

Cons: Hotel should save better pool beds for hotel guests over day passes . They should add beds / service to the beach also .

Gostei mas não volto nem recomendo.

Pros: Quarto muito espaçoso, banheiro excelente, com luxo especial no roof top do quarto.

Cons: Muito caro, acesso por lancha pequena, cozinha extremamente demorada e não muito saborosa ou variada. A exceção é a parrilla, deliciosa mas muito cara também.
