Good and comfortable great place in Central Barranquilla

Pros: The facilities, decent size swimming pool to swim in and the food. Will stay here again if in the area.

Cons: Random phone call to room at 01:30 by accident.

If I revisit Barranquilla I'll definitely stay at El Prado again

Pros: We had a great stay at El Prado. The pool-garden, the ambiance, the staff were really great overall

Cons: The breakfast-room could really use an upgrade. it's just a large hall with tables lined up. It does not feel luxurious at all. Also our very first interaction whilst checking is was not super welcoming. It's so easy to smile and say welcome, but for some reason the lady did not care. This was only at check-in, the rest of the staff was really nice.

Superb colonial hotel

Pros: The hotel is magnificent, the location is nice, the swimming pool is superb. The food is very good.

Cons: The double room had two single-double beds and it was clear we were a couple. Too small each for two persons. Charging the bedroom for drinks (or food) at the bar of the swimming pool was impossible! ..we had to fight not to pay right away since we were clients of the hotel. We even had to go to reception to clarify this and despite of this, we were still asked to pay everytime. Annoying! There are two receptions, not clear where you have to go upon arrival.

Pros: Beautiful garden, pool and bar area. Good value and tasty food. Book a superior room . Very relaxing. Safe to walk in the area and the staff are very helpful. It’s an old Colonial hotel. Great gym

Cons: No charging points in the rooms The basic rooms are in need of renovation
