Nice staying

Pros: Perfect location, close to the beach and not far from the city centre. Nice and helpful staff. Quite and safe at night. 24h supermarket around the corner.

Cons: A bit out of style, so bed wasn’t the best.

Good value for money!

Pros: Inner courtyard was nice, staff was friendly, there were two bathrooms in the room and the room was spacious, with plenty closet space. Location was great, with many cafes and shops nearby.

Cons: Wifi was so-so, but they have many different wifis all over the hotel.

Good for a short stay in Cartagena.

Pros: The bedroom is very spacious and beautiful - the double bed is huge and very comfortable. The staff was kind and the breakfast was very good, even though it was a prepared dish - very repetitive if you stay there for many days. Good laundry service and lovely construction.

Cons: We arrived earlier than the check-in time and even though there were many empty rooms, they made us wait until the check-in time (long night flight, many connections, airport sleep, we were dead and had to wait more than 3h in the reception, which was very unpleasant because of the high temperature there in summer). The parking is not really a parking - there are 2 spots and one of them is basically inaccessible - if the spot is taken, you have to park outside and pay irregularly - very bad. Besides, far from the city center and the old town. The room was in the front of the hotel and it was very noisy at night - busy street.

Despite flaws, an excellent value.

Pros: Walking distance to the beach, but out of the middle of the crowds... the location was excellent.

Cons: Wifi was sporadic - at best. Breakfast was redundant; same thing every day (not a buffet).

Baluarte is a place you have to stay a few days

Pros: Great room with a big comfy bed. Air conditioning was excellent. TV channels are cool and showers are hot.

Pros: I have stayed in a lot of Hotels in Colombia and no hot water this Hotel had very hot water for washing and for a shower very economical great position for the beach and bars and restaurants would highly recommend this Hotel

Pros: The staff were pleasant and helpful, the rooms were quiet and comfortable with air-conditioning and the breakfast was a lovely way to start the day. I highly recommend this hotel if you want some peace and quiet to sleep at night. The rooftop area is also a great spot to relax at the end of the day.

Cons: The only complaint was that the wifi only works sometimes in the room. But it was fine in the lobby or restaurant.

Pros: Great location, big rooms. Free upgrade. Breakfast included. Not sure why this accommodation doesn’t have a higher rating. This was the best place I stayed in Colombia. Quiet, close to beach, eateries, shops. Amazing!!
