Hotel Monaguillo de Getsemaní

Nice hotel in good location

Pros: Great location, friendly staff. Breakfast was nice but limited options

Cons: Room was small. Little noisy at night from hotel neighbours

Helpful and friendly staff, good location, good amenities

Pros: Super staff! All of them - the receptionists, the cook, the cleaners, and the other helpers. They were helpful and efficient handling numerous of our requests, and always cheerful. The hotel is close to the centre of the action in Getsemani. I booked one of the smaller rooms. The room was just the right size for us. Tips: 1) the English of the staff was from excellent to quite good, but occasionally, knowing at least basic Spanish or using a translator app or phrasebook can help. 2) If a mini fridge is important to you, check if the room you want has one. We didn't need one, and our room didn't have one.

Cons: Only one quibble: it had one night table, I asked for a second (which I insist there was room for), but they said it wasn't possible. (The only time we didn't get what we asked for.)

I will not look anywhere else on my return visit. The staff is the best you can get.

Pros: My room was quite small, but it was well appointed and very clean. The bathroom was exceptional. The breakfast was truly amazing as it was located on the rooftop with a fabulous view, good food, and great service.

Cons: The coatrack clothing shelf in my room was difficult to get around.

Quiet oasis in buzzing Getsemani

Pros: A beautiful quiet hotel in the midst of the buzz of Getsemani. At a central location so you easily walk into Getsemani and the rest of the old town. You can hear the buzz from the street if it is loud, but the hotel itself is relatively quiet, it really takes you to a serene space. The room was good, clean and functional. Bathroom was great! The rooftop pool was nice to relax at after wandering around town. Breakfast was good on one day the other a bit less but still ok. I would most likely stay again!

Cons: A small thing was that not all the staff was quite friendly or willing to greet/help/serve me as a customer there.. others were friendly and helpful though. I felt a bit uncomfortable by the double request for a comment on tripadvisor as I did not do this right away and I also had to fill out a review on paper. My suggestion would be to be a bit more relaxed about this, rather than to push for it.

Great location!

Pros: The room was really clean and the bed comfortable. We loved having access to the pool so we could cool down in the morning and afternoons. The hotel is perfectly located and it was easy to walk safely everywhere!

Cons: The room was a bit small, so it can be a bit harder to hangout in the room especially when it is raining outside and we are trying to stay dry for a bit (there are only few areas in the hotel to hang out inside when it rains). We loved our stay and would recommend regardless :)

Great stay, at a nice spot of Getsmani.

Pros: Luxury and decoration of the place. Really nice bed and shower!

Cons: Breakfast was below my expectations for the hotel standards and pricing. Was good, but too simple and few options.

Pros: A localização é das melhores. No centro de Getsemani, tudo perto, muitos restaurantes bons e bem próximo da cidade muralhada. Da para fazer tudo a pé. O hotel é bem confortável, silencioso, funcionários super atenciosos.

Cons: O hotel possui um jardim de inverno, muito bonito quando está sol, pegamos um dia de chuva aí o hall do café da manhã molha tudo. Nada demais mas daria para fazer um controle de não cair chuva no hall.

Pros: La ubicación. Cama cómoda. Personal atento y desayuno completo

Cons: Los días que estuvimos llovió, las escaleras se vuelven peligrosas mojadas. Tuvimos una filtración de agua en el cuarto y no intentaron hacer nada. El cuarto no fue entregado Muy limpio, había una botella de agua del huésped anterior y un calcetín bajo la cama.
