Perfect

Pros: Absolutely amazing place room was super spacious bed incredibly comfortable and huge, bathroom was pure luxury. So central to everything but also very quiet area. Can’t recommend this beautiful boutique hotel enough. What an incredible find.

Beautiful little boutique hotel in a great location

Pros: Absolutely an amazing hotel! The decor is stunning, the room is beautiful, comfy bed and spotless clean! Not the mention the pool and it’s view! The busy streets of Getsemaní are only 1 minute away. The staff was lovely too. Would highly recommend!

Best hotel stay by far!!!

Pros: Absolutely everything, amazing views from The roof top pool and jacuzzi, super friendly team, very clean and spacious rooms with lovely big comfortable bed. Walking distance to most of the main areas but at the same time very tranquil.

Beautiful hotel in fantastic area

Pros: The room was absolutely beautiful, very spacious and bright with a very stylish interior. The rooftop pool is also one of its best features! The hotel is situated in the perfect place as it's quiet around that street, but then a very short walk to lots of lovely cafes and shops. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely come back!

A secure, beautiful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Getsemani.

Pros: The property was new, modern and beautifully designed and decorated. The bed was luxuriously comfortable. It is perfectly situated on the edge of the walled city away from the noise. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful despite the language barrier. Great pool overlooking the sea.

Cons: We booked the room with private rooftop & jacuzzi. Unfortunately there was a raw sewage smell coming from the rooftop drains so we were not able to enjoy it as much as we had hoped. They did their best to mask the smell by pouring chemical down it and also had a tradesperson come and look at it. We received a small gift basket as an apology which was thoughtful although still felt like we lost the value of booking the more expensive room.

Pros: Hotel Casa Sonara is a hidden gem in Cartagena! The interior design is stunning — natural stone walls, elegant lighting, and modern details that create a luxurious yet cozy atmosphere. The room was immaculate, with a super comfortable bed, high-quality linens, and a beautiful bathroom with stylish finishes. The highlight of my stay was the private terrace with its own jacuzzi overlooking the bay — absolutely magical both at sunrise and at night with the city lights reflecting on the water. The rooftop and common areas are equally charming, with tasteful decor and an authentic Colombian touch. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made me feel at home from the very first moment.

Cons: There is honestly nothing I didn’t like. Every detail was well thought-out, and the overall experience exceeded expectations.

Fantastic!

Pros: Fantastic! We spent 3 nights in this beautiful hotel. The rooms are excellent, big and like in the pictures. Location is great, very close to restaurants and bars in Getsemani, but in a more quiet street so it is not noisy at night. The staff was wonderful. A special thank you to member of staff Derlis, who was extremely kind and helpful, and made out stay perfect.

Pros: Lovely little hotel in a fantastic location. Views from the swimming pool were great. Super big and comfortable bed.

Cons: I guess the swimming pool could have been bigger? But really it was fine as far as I’m concerned.

A hidden gem

Pros: A really beautiful property. The rooms were immaculate and staff were friendly. We particularly enjoyed the pool area, which had a lovely view of the harbour. Really well located in Getsemani, close to attractions and restaurants/ Cafe’s.

Cons: Bed and pillows could have been a bit softer. Breakfast selection was basic and no where to eat it other than your room is you don’t have a balcony.

Pros: The house is beautifully decorated,and the room was cozy, spotless, and incredibly comfortable.One of the highights was the pool area. The location is ideal: just a short walk to restaurants, shops, and the historic center yet peaceful enough for a great night's sleep.
