Designed by the Cuban architect Manuel José Carrerá Machado and located on the Caribbean beach, this luxurious hotel offers a semi-Olympic outdoor swimming pool, elegant colonial architecture, a gym and spa. Massage sessions and diving trips can be booked. WiFi is free. Caribe Hotel is surrounded by extensive tropical gardens, and has 5 star facilities and a lavish lobby with polished marble floors and impressive chandeliers. Hotel Caribe has air-conditioned rooms with garden views. There are work desks and cable TV. Rooms have wood furnishings and white polished floors. A very comfortable stay

Pros: Very attentive staff, cases removed from taxi as we arrived and carried up to room. Speedy check in and room was ready immediately, didn’t have to wait till 3 o clock Several swimming pools, good buffet breakfast, just a little difficult in asking for English breakfast tea Had 2 spa treatments, very good value for money Received a lovely surprise birthday cake in room

amazing hotel

Pros: For my first time in South America, I couldn’t choose a better hotel. The bed was huge and comfortable and I had hot water, that was a nice surprise haha. Everything was amazing, the location, the colonial building, the staff, the swimming pool, the breakfast, the garden. The beach is so closed, you have free sunbeds and towels. The animals are so beautiful! I also got a sweet treat on my birthday, the staff is attentive and happy to help. Safe area and there a lot of restaurants and supermarkets near the hotel. They also helped me with a shuttle from the airport. There is also an ATM in the hotel. The cocktails by the pool were also good. This has to be the best hotel in Cartagena!

Amazing hotel

Pros: Great hotel with amazing, friendly staff and many live animals as part of the hotel. It was a great experience. The gym and all facilities were excellent, except the playroom, which was a bit too small. However, there are plenty of things to do both in the hotel and around the city.

Cons: Everything was good, maybe just water pressure in bathroom was a bit low.

Pros: The pool was amazing for kids under 5. It was friendly and full of life. They also have access to the Bocagrande beach, with a great space for having lunch with an ocean view. Totally reccommend it. It was safe and clean

Pros: I love ths hotel so much. Looks classic but I can feel very Latin mood at the hotel. Staff (receptional staff especially) was kind and well commuicated in English. My son was super happy to see various animals! (deer, tocotucan, sloth, peacock and parrot) Definately will come back. :)

Pros: Good choice of fresh fruit at breakfast, animals in the hotel garden, charme of the main building

Cons: Room would need to be refurbished, definitely not a 5star level, no real private beach (the ‘private’ area is still accessible to non hotel guests and far from the sea)

Fantastic stay for a family

Pros: The pools are amazing, beautiful and clean. The rooms are comfortable, large and clean. The hotel is quiet yet well located (10 min taxi ride from the center, far from the crazy noise of the city) The staff is efficient and very nice The breakfast buffet is generous and good

Cons: We were traveling with 3 kids and booked two rooms. The hotel made no arrangement for the rooms to be next to each other. The dinner in the hotel restaurant is a bad deal (120K COP / adult for a buffet of mediocre food)

Wonderful resort-like hotel to relax while not too far from old city area

Pros: Great location. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Nice set up with two pools and other facilities. Large, plentiful buffet breakfast with lots of choices.

Cons: Beach club portion needs updating. Not very attractive and inviting. Make it easier for folks to wash off sand when they return from the beach. Showers not very functional. It would be good to have some near pool area and have guests use them BEFORE going in the pool, since otherwise they are all sweaty or covered in suntan lotion ;-)

Pros: This hotel is absolutely stunning, especially with its expansive and beautifully maintained grounds. The property is home to a variety of animals including macaws, deer, sloths, and peacocks, which added a unique and charming touch to the experience. There are two gyms to choose from, several pools and jacuzzis, a beach club, and complimentary access to the spa area, which made it easy to relax and recharge. Overall, it’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a truly restful holiday.
