Great location for the historic centre whilst also being quiet and peaceful

Pros: It’s in a great location in the historic town but also in a quiet street so we weren’t disturbed at night. The staff everywhere were always helpful and friendly. The decor was quirky with some interesting old items. It had a lovely feel. We could hear the birds but no traffic!

Cons: We had an odd window that looked straight onto the relax pool so we had to keep the blind down most of the time but I think this was really about the shape of the building. There is no lift for luggage but the staff helped.

Good choice if you want to stay in the Centre of Cartagena

Pros: Location very centric, you can get everywhere by foot. Breakfast very decent but long waiting time. Staff are very friendly and helpful, I would book here again if I’ll visit Cartagena.

Cons: Size of the room, very tiny and you can hear everything outside. Also very dark, it has no windows.

Sweet and well located home from home

Pros: The staff is very helpful-Jennifer helped me to talk to the transfer company to trace my mobile phone and the driver did come back. Life saver! The location is perfect, about 50m away from the happening square. The ambience is comfy, quirky and homey.

Amazing place with perfect location

Pros: We just loved this hotel: location, decoration, bed, shower, food and the best part: staff. All of them very helpful and kind. I do recommend staying there!

I would gladly stay again

Pros: The hotel exudes colonial charm. Everything worked like a good hotel should including the AC. Breakfast was one of the best of our trip.

Good location, great staffs, amazingly delicious breakfast

Pros: We had such a pleasant stay at Hotel Kartaxa. We stayed in room 307, which was a bit loud in the morning due to the school behind the hotel, but overall, we slept really well and felt so comfortable in both our room and this beautiful boutique hotel. The best part of our stay was definitely the staff—they were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our best guy was Sergio, who helped us with many inquiries (thank you so much!). Carlos was also great, always greeting us with a smile. The ladies serving breakfast were warm and welcoming, making our mornings even better. The breakfast was just as good as it looked! 10/10—I highly recommend this hotel, and we would definitely stay here again if we return to Cartagena.

Cons: It was a bit loud due to noise from outside and the nearby school, but I think that’s generally common in the old town.

Amazing for a cozy weekend in Cartagena

Pros: The hotel is located in the heart of Cartagena very close to one of the biggest malls and various restaurants/boutique's inside the walls. The hotel staff was very accommodating and service-minded giving a positive attitude and making the experience much better. The pool was small but well-maintained and quite cozy.

Cons: It can be a bit noisy during the morning hours. If you're a morning person, this won't bother you at all.

Comfortable and quiet hotel in the mid of city rush.

Pros: Everything works here. Room is clean and quiet. Hotel interior is cosy. Check in and check out were fast. Service at the desk fullfilled all our wishes. Sounds easy, doesn it? Of course there is lot of work and effort behind. Well done.

Cons: Having fridge instead of bed side table.
