True gem within the walled city

Pros: Everytjing: Location within walled city but in less noisy street, very nice patio and 2 small swimming pools with lush green vegetation, extremely friendly and attentive staff, good breakfast, comfy bed

Cons: Nothing, hotel is great. only the hostel across the street was very noisy one afternoon with a deafening karaoke event but that is beyond the hotel control.

Beautiful hotel in Cartagena’s historic center with an amazing rooftop pool and great staff

Pros: Palmas de Alba Boutique Hotel is a beautiful hotel located right in Cartagena’s historic center. The location is perfect—very close to many great spots, restaurants, and attractions. The hotel itself is charming and well maintained, with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always making us feel welcome. One of the highlights was the rooftop pool, which was absolutely amazing and a perfect place to relax after exploring the city. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in a beautiful, well-located boutique hotel in Cartagena.

Cons: The breakfast was good, but there weren’t many options. A bit more variety would have made it even better. The rooms are not very well soundproofed, so when people were talking around the pool, it could be heard clearly in the rooms. Our neighbors got up around 7:30 - 8:00, which is completely reasonable, but since we like to sleep in a bit longer while on holiday, the noise ended up waking us each morning.

Pros: They had an issue with their AC and therefore moved us to their second location (Leones de Alba) with a small upgrade. Breakfast, location and staff were really great

Cons: Bed was (as usual in Colombia) rather hard and uncomfortable. Also, walls/windows are rather thin, therefore it was especially hard to sleep as some guests were really loud at the pool area

An oasis of calm where staff cater to your every need

Pros: The staff were friendly, helpful and all round fantastic. The rooms were luxurious, the pools were incredible and the way it all fit together so tightly was fantastic. A cosy oasis of calm in an otherwise quite busy city. The location was perfect for exploring - and taking a break from exploring to relax!

Cons: Free water was quite limited

Pros: The property is really cozy, confortable, in the middle of Cartagena, near everything. They have 2 swimming pool, plants everywhere, very nice. The room was big, comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom. And the staff is the highest point of the hotel. They are all so nice, always ready to help without effort or being in our toes. We fell at home! We’ll go back for sure
