Hotel Casa La Factoria by Faranda Boutique

A cosy and well-located hotel that offered incredible value for money, despite a few minor maintenance issues.

Pros: Everything was clean and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful – always greeting with a smile. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, but the glass wall offered absolutely no privacy for the bathroom 😅

Cons: The rooftop terrace felt a bit worn and could use some maintenance. The railing around the rooftop pool was rusty, and flakes of rust were falling onto the ground, which didn’t give a good impression. The rooftop pool itself wasn’t cleaned regularly, so there was some small debris at the bottom. Breakfast is quite limited, and items like fresh fruit tended to run out early in the morning. One thing we found a bit surprising was that the hotel bar, despite having an espresso machine, didn’t serve any milk-based coffee drinks like cappuccino or latte.

Pros: Loved the decor, the location was great, right in the centre, staff were very friendly, restaurant was great too. On our last morning the breakfast selection was better as well.

Cons: Room was small

Pros: Very helpful staff, clean rooms, excellent location - in the old town but in a calm part of it.

Cons: Impossible to close the doors gently. Breakfast was ok, but if you go a bit later (around 9am) many options are not anymore available. The worst part is the glasswall for the wc -> dont understand the concept it is quite disturbing when not traveling alone.

Pros: Employees were very polite and the place is awsome

Cons: The bedroom was for two but there were only one hobbie. Swiming pool was perfect, but we always had to check if there were towels avaible before getting into the water (we had to ask for towels twice).

Just book it!!!

Pros: If you are looking for a perfect spot in Cartagena, this is it! We stayed at more places in the city and this was our most favorite. Very comfortable beds, super clean and delicious breakfast. But most of all - the staff. So amazing! Especially Kevin. This dude, guys… what a character. These guys make you feel like you are the most important person on the planet. We will be back.

Cons: The rooms are dark, yes. But we liked it as we celebrated my birthday, we were hangover and we wanted to hide in a cave :D

Very nice hotel.

Pros: I loved almost everything. The location is great. The ladies that help out with the breakfast servings are very nice.

Cons: I hate the fact that the trend is to have open and transparent bathtubs, showers and toliets. It is very uncomfortable when you travel with a friend or family member.

Pros: The staff is very good, the location is convenient and clean.

Great looking property in old town

Pros: This is an interesting review in that upon arrival, we were told there was a problem with our room. The AC was broken so we could NOT stay at the hotel. The staff was very apologetic and offered us a room in their sister hotel Casa Don Luis. They escorted us to the new hotel which was probably nicer than the La Factoria. The staff at Don Luis were great - it's a beautiful property. A couple days later, we went back to La Factoria just to check it out, and it's a really striking hotel. It all worked out in the end.

Cons: Would have liked to stay there since the pool/grotto area is so awesome looking!

Pros: Very good location, attentive staff, comfy beds, clean room, delicious dinners.
