Hotel Balcones de Bocagrande

Nice budget hotel at a great location with very friendly staff !

Pros: Great staff !!! all the ladies working there are absolutely friendly and helpful. I liked the breakfast very much, fruits, coffee and juice were very fresh and tasty. The location at Bocagrande is very good as it is near everything, plenty of bars, restaurants, farmacies, and markets nearby. The room was just ok, but expected as per the price paid. The bed was not confortable after a couple of days I started to feel some back-pain. For families, make sure you book a better and larger room. I was travelling alone and so, it was just fine for me. The air-conditioning was perfect and this is extremely important as temperatures at Cartagena are very high.

A place with great potential

Pros: It kicked most of the boxes with 1 exeption. It was clean, well located, good AC, the staff is nice and welcoming. I liked how they cook the breakfast eggs.

Cons: 7-8AM noise from people having breakfast, every day, one hour of pure noise pollution. It's like they were in my room, the same group of apes. Shower water too cold for my desire.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and kind. Location perfect with nice patio. Felt safe.

Pros: Perfect stay. Lovely staff. Sensibly sized breakfast.

Cons: The toilet blocked very easily. Flush frequently throughout your 'session' to avoid. Also, a lamp in the room would be nice for the evening time.

Good, modest, well priced and well located

Pros: The people who worked there were lovely, very welcoming, trustworthy. I am a woman travelling alone and I felt safe there. It’s in a good location. It’s modest accommodation but clean and there are nice areas undercover where you can sit outside. I speak Spanish which helped.

Cons: Could have done with more and better quality electrical outlets.

Pleasant stay

Pros: The staff of the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. There was someone on reception 24 hours a day which gave a sense of security. The room was basic but comfortable and had everything we needed. The air con worked well. Breakfast was nice. They offered clean towels and to clean the room everyday.

Cons: As the room faces the patio you could hear the noice of other guests when they were in the patio talking.

Best service in Cartagena

Pros: ausgesprochen gemütliche Bleibe inmitten des Trubels von Bocagrande. Personal mit einem echten Lächeln. Hat meinen Aufenthalt in Cartagena positiv gemacht!

Pros: El servicio del desayuno excelente, variado y la camarera muy atenta.

Cons: El cambio de toallas, la provisión de jabón.

Pros: La atención y cordialidad del personal del hotel. Cumplieron con todo lo pactado. Nos vamos satisfechos! Gracias 😄
