Hyatt Regency Cartagena

A luxurious gem in the Carribbean

Pros: Excellent hotel facilities. Three swimming pools with direct and unlimited view to the sea. Fantastic view from the room to the ocean and the old city of Cartagena. Very good breakfast (one must certainly try the local dishes and the amazing exotic fresh fruit). Upscale fine dining with excellent plates and very good cocktails. The staff was a definite PLUS ! The 30th floor Hyatt Club had an excellent buffet during lunchtime.

Pros: Great location and all of the staff were so helpful, accommodating and friendly.

Cons: Minor details but the cooked breakfast options were limiting. No criticism as everything else was perfect and please be advised that I am an extremely fussy customer! My overall rating is still 5 stars plus!

Pros: pool good for lap swimming early, a little short but ok

Cons: no coffee for the provided coffee machine. no access to the higher floors, a rooftop view would be awesome.

Great hotel with high quality

Pros: I love everything about the my stay at the Hyatt! I was quite long in Cartagena and had tested three other hotels before the Hyatt. I loved the view from the room, the room size, the pools and also stuff was very friendly!

Cons: The only „negative“ thing was that I went out in Getsemani and it took me the same time of walking or going there by uber due to the traffic in the evening. And: I booked without breakfast and tried the buffet one morning but to be honest, I was expecting a bit more. But I think this is just a personal view since many people were absolutely happy with the breakfast choices.

Pros: The security and the view as well as the friendly English speaking staff

Cons: A bit pricey per night in Cartagena

Spacious rooms with great amenities and breakfast.

Pros: Amazing beachfront location and lots of great amenities located on-site including an impressive 3 swimming pools and a very well-appointed fitness centre. Rooms were VERY large coming from a European perspective. One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a while.

Cons: The carpet in the rooms felt a bit fired and overall the decor lacked a certain “Colombian personality” — but to be expected given it was a major chain hotel.

2 lovely nights in Hyatt

Pros: Great view of the sea with a clean and spacious room. Lovely infinity pool with a great poolside bar service with snacks and cocktails. A nice distance to the centre of Cartagena.

Cons: Breakfast was very expensive so we did not include that in our stay. Only one of the pools was open during our stay, which meant that it was quite busy. There was also no umbrellas / shade in the pool area.

Pros: food service in hotel. ocean view from room. public services nearby ,

Cons: upon check-in, only 2 people available; should be at least four during daytime hours to avoid delays. in room, should have more big towels for drying after showers. pool on 11th floor has little space to sit and put personal items while enjoying pool itself. at night, the fan above main bed shuts off automatically unless you get up and put entrance key again in door from outside. also lights will be off as well.

One of the best hotels I have ever visited

Pros: Top level hotel with thoughtful staff. Amazing cuisine and cocktails, wonderful view from the room and a beautiful infinite pool
