Pros: A quiet place, no noise, no music. Perfect for relaxing and very well located. Safe, accessible, and 100% recommended.

Lovely little hotel in a great location

Pros: Location was great, super central to the Christmas market, harbour and main tourist centre. Lots of restaurants/cafes nearby, as well as pharmacies and banks for cash. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of nice fruits and local snacks, plus eggs to order which were very good. The staff were always available and helpful. The shower was nice and hot!

Cons: The bedroom was a little small, didn’t have much space to put our things but it wasn’t a big problem!

Cartagena holiday

Pros: We chose this hotel based on reviews and location. It was a beautiful older style hotel and is very well maintained. It is in a fantastic location and easy to walk around. They do state it can be a bit noisy at night given it's central location but even in the middle of Christmas celebrations it wasn't too bad. The included breakfast is really nice. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

Pros: The staff were excellent, attentive and very friendly. Antonio, in particular was great when I arrived at 3.30am and the communication before my arrival from Adriana was excellent. I really appreciate their flexibility and the charm of the property. I felt really safe as a solo female traveller.

Cons: The shower was always cold! Noisy but bearable.

Comfortable hotel in the heart of the old town

Pros: We had a very comfortable stay in Hotel Boutique Las Carretas. A very well situated hotel in the heart of the old city . The rooms were very clean and the staff very helpful . Breakfast was great . Would highly recommend

Lovely stay in the heart of Cartagena

Pros: The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. Fantastic location right in the heart of Cartagena. The hotel was nice and clean and the breakfast options were good too. We didn't use the pool and although a little small, it did look lovely.

Cons: Nothing.

Very cute boutique hotel in the center of Cartagena

Pros: The property was well located in the center of the old city. The room was super comfortable with a big bed and big shower.

Cons: We were told that because of the location it might be noisy and it was very noisy at night time. We were provided ear plugs which helped

Pros: The room was very big and provided with all the facilities. The position is super central and you can easily walk everywhere.

Cons: The breakfast was a little limited in options. The hotel is located in a very central area, and unfortunately we experienced a crazy noise the first night coming from the street. If you are noise-sensitive, I’d recommend to ask for a room placed towards the inner side of the structure, and not street side as we got.

Central location, friendly staff

Pros: Great location and not loud at night, given the area. (Interior room). The pool was a great addition! Good breakfast.

Cons: The shower had very weak water pressure and even lost water completely at one point.

Excellent stay

Pros: We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The spacious room was a comfortable retreat, featuring great air conditioning and a fantastic shower. The hotel's location is a major highlight, just a stone's throw from the iconic Clock Tower of Cartagena. The area around the hotel is vibrant and full of life, with excellent restaurants and a fantastic nightlife scene right on the doorstep. What truly made our stay special was Jhonny, the receptionist. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a warm welcome and providing invaluable tips about the city. With excellent facilities and a delicious breakfast to start each day, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Cons: The hotel's location is fantastic for exploring, but it's important to note that it's situated in a very vibrant and popular tourist area. Though we weren't affected by it, expect some ambient noise from the street, including music from nearby nightclubs and the sounds of horse-drawn carriages passing by.
