Pros: Very friendly personnel, beautiful environment, directly in the city. Well equipped and cozy rooms.

Pleasant stay in old town

Pros: Location was good for our group, good breakfast options and plentiful fruit if you do not eat eggs

Cons: Stairs are not always well lit if visibility is a concern. Bill prepared with tip surcharges

Pros: Perfect location, close to all you need in Cartagena. Spacious and comfortable room with a nice balcony. Surprisingly quiet inside, despite the noise in the streets.

Pros: Good location in the historical center, which is nice. Don’t stay in Getsemani unless you want to party and are looking for a hostel. Nice staff, good breakfast.

Fantastic location and a pool in the heart of the old town

Pros: I stayed in this hotel at three occasions during my last trip to Colombia, spending a total of five nights. This has been my third stay in this hotel since 2012. These are the reasons for my choice: - Fantastic location in the center of the walled city. - Old colonial building with lots of atmosphere - Nicely decorated - Clean - Mini fridge and silent A/C in the room - Modern bathroom - Outdoor pool in the courtyard (the biggest asset!) - Elevator for your luggage (if it‘s not offered to you, ask!) - Staff seemed somewhat indifferent at first but turned out to be really friendly after chatting a bit. You might have to make the first step. - Convenient online check-in

Cons: When I had to find a new hotel at the spot and later in the evening due to a prolonged blackout, I didn’t receive much assistance and ended up paying a lot of money. Help in finding something cheaper would have been very much appreciated. On the other hand I didn’t have to pay for that night without any issues. The pool could not be used for one day because of some maintenance work, but during my stay nothing was done. It remained cordoned off though, and for me the pool is one of the main reasons to book this hotel, to get a respite from the heat. Breakfast could be improved. Many years ago it used to be exceptionally good, now it‘s rather mediocre in quality (eg. cold fried sausage). But these are all pretty minor issues, definitely nothing that would keep me from coming back.

Pros: It's easy to find in the center of the old town. Beautiful classic building with a pool. I forgot my phone charger, and they kept it for me so I could pick it up later.

Cons: The check-in process took a long time for some reason, but not a big problem. The shower head was leaking, so the water also reached the rest of the bathroom.

Can’t beat this hotel for a stay in the lively centre of the old city.

Pros: Great location in the middle of the old city and our stay was excellent value for money.

Cons: WiFi was intermittent in our room but we didn’t try it in the public spaces
